CAFFITALY RETURNS TO HOST 2023 AND ANNOUNCES ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH COSTA COFFEE
Milan, 17 October 2023 – Caffitaly System S.p.A., renowned for its multi-beverage system that has won over coffee lovers in Italy and in over 70 countries worldwide, is proud to return to HOST, the global trade fair dedicated to the catering and hospitality sectors. The highlight of this edition was the announcement of a strategic partnership with Costa X, the latest business-to-business offering from Costa Coffee, the world’s second-largest coffee brand and part of The Coca-Cola Company.
Caffitaly’s offering has always been distinguished by the impeccable quality provided by the “Caffitaly System”, which guarantees optimal extraction and a richer aroma: by perfectly combining the technology of the machines and capsules, this unique and innovative system is able to deliver a superior coffee experience.
At HOST, Costa X marks a milestone by unveiling a new range of machines developed in collaboration with Caffitaly’s Research & Development team. Designed specifically for the OCS, hotel and leisure sectors, these machines use Caffitaly’s ‘Flexicup’ capsule system to ensure the highest quality in every cup.
“We are extremely proud to be strengthening our partnership with Costa X. This collaboration is not only a recognition of Caffitaly’s ongoing commitment to Research & Development, but also a reflection of our shared vision to redefine the global coffee landscape.” By combining our “Flexicup” capsule system with a machine custom-made exclusively for Costa X, we aim to win over the palates of coffee lovers around the world. “This long-term partnership marks the beginning of a new era of excellence, innovation and shared passion,” emphasizes
Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of Caffitaly
“The launch of the new Podio range marks the next chapter in our long-standing partnership with Caffitaly.” Caffitaly’s expertise in capsule design and machine manufacturing has been instrumental in the development of the Podio range and has enabled us to bring out the full flavor and aroma of our Costa Coffee Mocha Italia Signature Blend. Under the leadership of Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of Caffitaly, we have every confidence in our partnership with Caffitaly and in our shared plans for the future. “We truly believe that the range of products from Costa X will revolutionize the way we think about how and where we can serve coffee that’s as good as the kind found in a café,” says Philippe Schaillee, CEO of Costa Coffee.
Over the coming months, the new range of machines will be available in Western and Eastern Europe, the United Kingdom and other international markets.

We are proud to be the nation’s favorite coffee shop, having been named ‘Best Branded Coffee Shop Chain in the UK and Ireland’ by Allegra Strategies for 13 consecutive years (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
Making a positive contribution to the communities we are part of is extremely important to us, both in the UK and around the world. In 2007, we therefore set up The Costa Foundation, a charity aimed at improving the lives of children in coffee-growing communities by helping them access safe, high-quality education. To date, The Costa Foundation has funded over 100 school projects and changed the lives of more than 120,000 children. We also run a Community Programme across the UK, which enables our teams to volunteer their time for local causes and to invite community groups to make use of the welcoming space in our shops.
In 2011, Costa Coffee acquired Coffee Nation, now known as Costa Express. Today, Costa Express operates in 20 international markets, with over 13,400 coffee machines in the UK and over 1,600 worldwide. We are proud to serve the very same Costa Coffee Mocha Italia Signature Blend coffee beans found in our shops, combined with fresh milk, to create a delicious, hot cup of coffee to take away. In 2022, Costa Coffee announced that it would be launching its innovative Costa Express self-service Hot and Iced Drinks machines.
Costa Coffee’s ‘Proud to Serve’ scheme enables our corporate partners to serve a range of Costa Coffee drinks to customers and staff, without the need for a full-service Costa Coffee shop. With a presence in 22 international markets, Costa Coffee proudly supports over 18,000+ ‘Proud to Serve’ outlets across the UK and around the world.
All Costa Coffee products, including our At-Home range and tinned Costa Coffee, have been expertly crafted by our Master of Coffee, Gennaro Pelliccia, and are made using Rainforest Alliance Certified™ coffee beans.
